Show and Tell . . .

For most of us, today marks the end of the fourth week of isolation, and I think we need a bit of positive right now. So I am reverting back to one of my favorite activities in kindergarten––Show and Tell. Now I don’t remember if I liked the “showing and telling” or the “seeing and listening” better. Can’t remember if I was an introvert or extrovert at that age, but I do remember enjoying it.

I have already shown you one of my new activities (my golf net), but will only tell you about another. You will understand why in a moment.

My mother is staying with me during this time and desperately wanted a haircut. But . . . alas no salons and no desire to go to one. . . HOWEVER . . . there were YouTube videos! So I watched ONE. Then pulled out my scissors and gave it a go. An admirable try . . . said those who saw the finished result, but I might have to watch that video again. Anyway, Mom did not want her picture posted.

So now it’s your turn. What “new” things have you been doing, making, learning, watching, reading, etc. etc. etc. (to quote The King and I. Anyone else binging on old movies?)

A comment posted below will take care of the telling, but if you want to show us something, then just send me a picture this week to [email protected] with a brief description and I will do my best to post it in two weeks time (April 25). Would love to hear and see what all of you are doing.

Until then, stay safe.

We are doing picture puzzles, an old wooden one with no picture so we don't know what it looks! Slow going but fun. All are well in Camarillo. Happy Easter

I would love to see a picture of what you THINK this puzzle should look like? Care to share your progress?

We have adopted an 8 mo old momma cat and her 4- 1 mo old kittens for the SIP. We affectionately call them our Quarantine Kittens. What a blessing they have been! The 3 teens stuck here at the house are loving the new life and distraction. Thanks, God!
(Jody, I'll send a couple if pics. )

I think you have already seen it, so no comment is good news!

I am the one with the haircut and she did an amazing job!! Always good to have a backup career should your other job fall through

Um...if Jody did such an amazing job, why oh why can't we see it? I need a haircut too. Is she taking appointments?

That's my mother. She will always say what I do is amazing. Trust me. You don't want to make an appointment.

Hi Jody!
After reading your mom's favorable comments, it sounds like your YouTube video was a win! Rich has hinted that I may have to cut his hair but I told him I think it's time for him to embrace his 70's look...haha. As far as learning something new.....that's easy, the whole distance learning thing! I appreciate the Google developers for making Google Classroom easy enough for even the old school teachers to learn. As far as reading, I have just downloaded the complete Anne of Green Gables series on my Kindle. We have been watching the Netflix series "Anne With an E" and it seems like they took a lot of liberties with the original book, but I haven't read them since junior high so I decided to reread them all again. That should keep me busy for awhile!

That is too funny. Send a picture when it occurs and make sure the sideburns are there!
